The first to bring this level of Physiotherapy supervised pilates rehab to Niagara, Fonthill Physio & Wellness Centre continues to set a high standard of care utilizing the most modern and innovative tools available today.
There are many reasons why we developed this programme for our clients; however, one stands out. We began noticing a trend where Mom's were experiencing pain and dysfunction from being deconditioned during pregnancy, postpartum or after a C-section/abdominal surgery and continued to care for their constantly growing child. These clients with chronic pain or multiple areas of pain, needed to learn how to safely move with confidence. Other clients who have benefited from this program are those who were looking to become stronger to return to work, to prevent further injury and those who wished to return to sports safely after being sidelined from an injury.
The goal is to safely assist you getting back to doing the things you love with the people you love!
To ensure the highest quality of care for our clients, we travelled out of province to be certified in the best clinical pilates training for physiotherapists; taught by physiotherapists.
Our Physiotherapists will complete an in-depth physiotherapy assessment, incorporating our clinical pilates programme, to design an individualized treatment plan for your.
Treatment plans are client specific and will utilize the pilates equipment as a way to improve mobility, strength, flexibility and reduce pain. This includes the reformer, the tower, the pedal chair and the mat. Your treatment plan may also include acupuncture, stretches, strengthening exercises, joint mobilization, breathing, education, health coaching....and we may even provide you with some homework for self care.
