Steph practices both pelvic health and orthopaedic physiotherapy. She holds an Honours Bachelor in Kinesiology and a Masters in Physical Therapy. Steph has completed advanced training in pelvic health and is rostered with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario to perform internal pelvic exams. She is a certified RYT200 Yoga Teacher and Prenatal Yoga Teacher. And is also trained as a Birth Doula and Childbirth Educator.
Steph brings with her 10 years experience as a physiotherapist. Her approach to rehabilitation and wellness integrates evidence-informed care with a whole person approach. She believes knowledge and movement are powerful tools in the healing and restoring of our bodies. Steph provides care from a trauma-sensitive perspective. And uses a biopsychosocial-spiritual model of care that aims to promote holistic wellness. Steph strives to empower her clients to trust in their bodies and find confidence in their intuitive self knowledge and ability to lead their own healing.
Steph provides support for a variety of pelvic health concerns including: bladder and bowel (urinary incontinence, urgency, frequency, fecal incontinence, constipation), pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic girdle pain, persistent low back and hip pain, tailbone pain, painful intercourse, and diastasis rectus abdominis. She has a passion for supporting women during pregnancy, in preparation for labour and birth, and throughout postpartum.
