Live, Love, Laugh Again
Jennifer holds a Kinesiology degree from McMaster University, a Bachelor of Physical Therapy from Queens University and also a Masters of Rehabilitation Sciences from Queens University. She has worked in both the private and public sector as a physiotherapist and in case management for over 15 years.
Jennifer started her journey to becoming a Pelvic Health Physiotherapist after experiencing her own pelvic floor dysfunction after the traumatic birth of her first child. Jennifer was left with anxiety, the baby blues, immense pelvic pain and was given a high risk of developing postpartum depression. Through the support of family and friends, Jennifer enrolled in counselling and was able to seek help from an out of town Pelvic Health Physiotherapist. Jennifer found that the baby blues passed, the anxiety and pain subsided, and postpartum depression never developed.
Through ongoing education in pelvic health and having an understanding of the importance of the mind and body connection, Jennifer’s second child via a scheduled caesarean was successful. Jennifer’s passion is now to educate others and help them move forward toward an improved self.
Pelvic Health Courses Completed:
Many patients have provided feedback on the benefits of offering pelvic physiotherapy in a non clinic setting. I am extremely honoured and humbled when I receive such positive feed back.
Pelvic Physiotherapy is personal and I find many patients have anxiety about the internal exam on their first visit. Rest assure, the exam is gentle, it may not be completed on the first day, and you have the right to say no or discontinue at any time.
If you cannot find an appointment time that works for your schedule, please email me.
